Children in the Preschool Class must be three years old by December 2nd. Children in this class are required to be fully potty trained. With three teachers in the classroom, we strive to maintain a child to teacher ratio of 8:1. According to the personality of the class and at the discretion of the director enrollment may exceed this proposed ratio as long as we are still in compliance with state requirements. We offer a well-rounded curriculum that promotes growth spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. Our Preschool Class curriculum includes daily participation in music and movement, Bible stories, continued art and writing experience, working with manipulatives, puzzles, and dramatic play. Children are exposed to letter sounds and number concepts and greatly enjoy special cooking projects. The Preschool Class uses the large play yard, which includes a sand box, two play structures, and large area for riding tricycles and group games. Treehouse provides healthy snacks. Children staying past 12Noon need to bring lunch from home. It is recommended that children who attend all day take an afternoon nap. Treehouse provides cots and sheets. Families provide blankets and pillows. |
